Bauer Media Outdoor has launched its first solar-powered advertising bus shelter on Waterloo Bridge in London, marking a further step in its commitment to more sustainable Out of Home advertising.
The shelter features a specially manufactured solar LED lighting kit developed by Zeta Specialist Lighting, enabling the advertising display to operate using renewable energy. This innovation reduces reliance on mains power while maintaining high-quality illumination.
By introducing solar-powered bus shelter advertising, Bauer Media Outdoor is providing brands with a greener way to connect with audiences, supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions and environmental impact within the OOH sector.

Bauer Media Outdoor launches Play London, a new premium digital network
Play London brings together the London Wrap (40 premium 48-sheet screens), the Storm brand (expanding to 20 super-premium sites), and the LD6 network (100 central London 6-sheets rebranded as Adshel Live).
This marks the first phase of a major UK digital outdoor expansion, supported by a purpose-built system for seamless ad-serving across all sites. All Play London screens are set to launch by late 2014.
