Bauer Media Outdoor has partnered with Our Streets Now and Plan International UK to launch a national Out of Home campaign calling for public sexual harassment (PSH) to be made a criminal offence in the UK and to drive cultural change around the issue.
The campaign, #CrimeNotCompliment, was created by Plan International UK alongside Our Streets Now, a movement founded by sisters Gemma and Maya Tutton, who have been campaigning since 2019 to end public sexual harassment. The two organisations formally launched their partnership in November 2020, uniting behind the call for legislative change.
Developed since the end of 2020, the Out of Home campaign launches today across Bauer Media Outdoor’s digital estate nationwide. Using impactful creative and real-life testimonials, the campaign shines a light on the everyday experiences of public sexual harassment faced by girls, young women and people of marginalised genders, while encouraging collective action to address and prevent it.
