Bauer Media Outdoor partners with the University of the West of England’s New Wave collective to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices

Artwork created by students from UWE Bristol’s School of Arts is now being showcased across 21 single-sided Out of Home screens throughout Bristol, transforming everyday city spaces into a public art exhibition.

The exhibition explores a range of themes connected to the LGBTQIA+ community, including queer love and how experiences of loneliness are understood and expressed across different generations. Students collaborated to produce striking 2D artworks that reflect both their creative practice and personal perspectives.

The work will remain on display across the city until the end of the year, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to engage with contemporary art as part of their daily journeys.

Newcastle embraces sustainability with its first Living Roof

Newcastle’s first Living Roof has been installed on Stamfordham Road in partnership with Bauer Media Outdoor, creating a greener, more biodiverse cityscape.

The shelter, also referred to as a Bee Bus Stop, is built from sustainable materials and features a mix of wildflowers and sedum plants that provide food and habitats for bees and other pollinating insects. Beyond supporting biodiversity, the living roof helps absorb rainwater and filter particulates from the air, contributing to improved environmental quality.

Designed to bring greenery back into urban areas, these shelters not only benefit wildlife but also promote healthier, more vibrant communities, demonstrating how Out of Home infrastructure can serve both people and the planet.
