What are the different types of Out of Home?
We see so much advertising each day of our lives that it’s easy to switch off, especially when relaxing at home. As such, out-of-home adverts can be a great way to attract more customers and generate interest surrounding your product, service or brand.
The following OOH marketing options are just a few of many ways to get your campaign out there, and its message seen by a much wider audience.

Win three major UK council bids
Bauer Media Outdoor UK, one of the UK’s leading Out of Home media owners, has successfully won three major tender bids to work with councils in Southampton, Solihull, and Haringey to deliver new street furniture to the areas. Included in the contracts is a sum of money from Bauer Media Outdoor UK which will be used as a community investment fund to support environmental projects in the councils’ local areas.
Why does location matter with outdoor advertising?
We all know the phrase being in the right place at the right time. A lot of emphasis is placed on the content and design of adverts, but it’s actually the location that has the biggest impact on whether engagement with your advert is likely to convert to a sale.

Bauer Media Outdoor and Mayor of London launch weather-data based ads to help tackle rough sleeping in the capital
Bauer Media Outdoor and the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, have launched an innovative new advertising campaign to raise awareness about the impact adverse weather conditions can have on homeless people.
Digital advertising screens in more than 130 locations across London will use weather data to update dynamic elements depending on temperature, as part of the Mayor of London’s rough sleeping campaign.
The adverts will be triggered by weather data from the Met Office, providing up to date weather information for that evening when the temperature drops to zero or below.

Why use bus stop advertising?
Bus shelter advertising continues to be a dynamic and effective medium for brands aiming to enhance visibility and engage with audiences across the UK. With strategic placements in high-traffic areas, these advertisements capture the attention of commuters, pedestrians, and drivers alike—making them an integral component of any Out of Home (OOH) advertising strategy.

Bauer Media Outdoor drive sustainability through LED tubes roll-out
Bauer Media Outdoor is the first Out of Home media owner to begin a nationwide upgrade of fluorescent tubes to bespoke Philips LED light tubes by Signify. The initiative, starting with 4,000 Adshel shelters in cities including Glasgow, Brighton, Merseyside, Leeds, and Newcastle, will be completed by Q1 2019, with the goal of eventually upgrading the entire Classic Adshel estate.
The LED tubes cut energy consumption and carbon emissions by up to 65%, have double the lifespan of previous lighting, and reduce tube waste, all at no cost to taxpayers. This project is part of Bauer Media Outdoor’s broader sustainability efforts, which include reducing vehicle emissions, halving its carbon footprint, and using 100% renewable electricity.
