A new wayfinding unit has been installed at the entrance to Solihull Station, providing residents and visitors with easy access to information about local amenities, attractions and services. The interactive touchscreen unit is the first of its kind in Solihull and only the second in the country. It features a detailed map of the borough and offers up-to-date information on local events, entertainment venues, restaurants and visitor attractions.
The unit also provides practical information, including weather updates, transport links, local shopping destinations and council services, helping users quickly find their way around Solihull and discover what the area has to offer.
Solihull Council worked with Bauer Media Outdoor UK who identified the best location for the unit, covering all costs and providing the Council with a percentage of the profit from advertising revenue. They will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the unit, using remote monitoring technology alongside regular in-person inspections to ensure it remains fully operational.

By providing a central source of local information at one of Solihull’s busiest transport hubs, the new installation will help people make the most of everything Solihull has to offer.
