The new partnership will see Bauer Media Outdoor serve as headline sponsor of Better Transport Week 2026, running 15-21 June.

Campaign for Better Transport is partnering with Bauer Media Outdoor - one of the UK’s leading Out of Home media and infrastructure companies providing more than 20,000 bus shelters in over 400 towns and cities across the UK - to help transform local transport networks and connect communities across the country.

The partnership will deliver a series of activities and events, bringing together transport leaders, local authorities, and community advocates to redefine bus infrastructure and develop higher national standards for bus stops to help make bus travel more accessible and appealing.

Bauer Media Outdoor will also be supporting Campaign for Better Transport’s flagship annual event, Better Transport Week as 2026 Headline Sponsors. This year, Better Transport Week 2026 will run from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 June and celebrate how better transport connects people and places.

Ben Plowden, Chief Executive of Campaign for Better Transport, said: “Good quality public transport connects communities and creates thriving neighbourhoods. The infrastructure that supports our public transport network is crucial to its success and to people’s experience of their local transport network. That’s why we are delighted to be working with Bauer Media Outdoor and to having them support Better Transport Week 2026. Their industry expertise is helping to deliver innovative, accessible, user-friendly bus shelters, which in turn help boost passenger numbers and improve people’s everyday experiences of public transport.”

Neil Chapman, Product Design Director Europe & UK from Bauer Media Outdoor, said: “Better transport relies on better infrastructure, and we’re proud to partner with Campaign for Better Transport to help deliver exactly that. Our focus is on designing bus shelters and street furniture that is comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and genuinely improves people’s journeys. By combining our product innovation and expertise with the charity’s policy insight, we can help raise national standards and create transport environments that more communities want to use every day.”

Better Transport Week is the annual celebration of how safe, accessible, affordable, reliable, integrated and green transport can connect communities and bring people together. Last year, more than 100 organisations supported the week – from the Department for Transport and local authorities to transport industry, NGOs, businesses and passenger groups – promoting the benefits of public transport, shared mobility, walking and cycling.
