Behind the build
When people see a new shelter, screen or piece of infrastructure on the street, they rarely see the months of planning coordination and expertise that made it possible.
In this episode of On the road, we go behind the scenes with our construction team from our St Helens depot as they deliver a bus shelter installation, revealing the complexity of working in live public environments where safety, precision and teamwork are critical.
From traffic management and site preparation to lifting operations, engineering considerations and strict health and safety procedures, every stage of the installation is carefully planned and executed.
