Revibed drinks founders, winners of the 2025 Compass scheme for Black-owned businesses

Bauer Media Outdoor, in partnership with Jamii, announces the five inspirational winners of its Compass scheme - an initiative designed to help grow Black-owned businesses through the power of outdoor media.

Following a nationwide search for brands that are ready to scale up and a rigorous selection process, this year’s winners reflect innovation, inclusivity, and a strong potential for growth.

Each selected brand will receive a national digital Out of Home advertising campaign worth £50,000 to help increase their visibility and brand awareness.

The 2025 Compass winners are:

  • First Rate Tutors – Private tuition that empowers students from all backgrounds with personalised, high-quality education support.
  • Blue Turaco Coffee – Bold, ethically sourced Ugandan coffee bursting with flavour, proudly supporting farmers and sustainable trade.
  • Yendy Skin – Natural and effective skincare, redefining beauty standards with inclusive formulations.
  • Flake Bake – Caribbean-inspired pastries and sweet treats baked to perfection, bringing the warmth and flavour of island traditions to UK tastebuds.
  • Revibed Drinks – A refreshing range of botanical soft drinks that taste great and give back, blending flavour with functional benefits.

We created Compass to elevate Black founders who deserve to be seen and celebrated and help take their businesses to the next level,” said Caroline Forbes, Head of OOH Agencies, at Bauer Media Outdoor. “These five brands stood out with their compelling brand propositions, unique strengths within their respective categories, and growth strategies that will enable them to capitalise on the OOH advertising opportunity.”

Courtney Ismain, Co-Founder of Jamii, said: “We’re so proud to see Compass award Black-owned brands with outdoor advertising for another year. The five winners were selected by an independent judging panel that saw the power, potential and innovation in each of these businesses. I can’t wait to see how the upcoming campaigns will play a part in their growth.”

The Compass initiative reflects Bauer Media Outdoor’s wider mission to champion equity and representation in media, offering a platform for businesses that might not otherwise have access to nationwide visibility.

Campaigns for the winning brands will go live across digital Out of Home screens nationwide later this year.
